A recent survey revealed that 600,000 people in Hong Kong have difficulty swallowing. VTC students collaborated with a local NGO, Sik Sik Yuen, to learn from caregivers, interview the elderly, and create soft meal options for those with dysphagia. The project aims to improve elderly people's appetite, dignity, and caregivers' convenience through safe and tasty meal choices. Design students focus on creating a tea house atmosphere for the meal packages to enhance the dining experience. By developing soft meal options that are both safe and appealing, the project seeks to improve the overall quality of life for the elderly population in Hong Kong.
