About ISS 2024

about

ISS Youth Change Makers

Young people are crucial change-makers who bring valuable new ideas to change society. With creativity and knowledge in their arsenal, they can shape a better world. By encouraging young people to share their opinions and ideas, we offer them the opportunity to make a significant contribution to society and challenge themselves. Their fresh perspective and innovative thinking can spark a movement that has the power to create an impact for generations to come. ISS embraces the power of new ideas and empowers our youth to bring positive change by giving them the platform to exchange views with global perspectives.

The biennial VTC-ITE International Student Seminar (ISS) provides an interactive platform for the Vocational Training Council (VTC) and the Institute of Technical Education (ITE) students to discuss and exchange ideas on global issues through activities including presentations, exhibitions, performance, and cultural and industrial visits.

Date:

26 – 28 June 2024 (Wednesday to Friday)

Venue:

HKDI, VTC, 3 King Ling Road, Tiu Keng Leng, Tseung Kwan O

Innovation

Innovation has a significant impact on our lives. It enhances our quality of life, contributes to the progress of education and businesses, and results in a healthier society. While innovation is often associated with technological breakthroughs, it can also involve new ways of thinking, new business models, or the combination of existing ideas or technologies in novel ways.

Sustainability

Sustainability is becoming increasingly important as the world faces challenges such as climate change and resource depletion. We need to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. To achieve this, we can balance economic, social, and environmental factors to create a resilient and equitable society.
